About

The Lord Bagenal Inn has been owned by the Kehoe family since 1979.  From its beginnings as a restaurant, over the years it has evolved to become the 39 bedroom four star property it is today.

The end bar in the original part of the building has been retained, with its open fire and comfortably traditional air - while the restaurant and newer bar area were renovated in 2015.

Many fine pieces of contemperory art are displayed throughout the hotel, the visitor may view works by Irish artists Tony O’Malley, Colin Middelton, Sean McSweeny, Paul Doran and Paul Mosse.

British Artists include Tai-Shan Schierenberg, Henry Cliff, David Blackburn, Shani – Rhys James, Peter Collis and William Scott.

We are delighted to congratulate proprietor James Kehoe on his recent Lifetime Achivement Award at the Carlow Business Awards 2022 & thanks to our customers and staff for their continued support.
