RATHWOOD'S EASTER EGGSPERIENCE 2020

EASTER TREASURE HUNT AT HUNTINGTON CASTLE

Saturday 11th – Monday 13thApril 2020  Huntington Castle and Gardens, Clonegal, Co. Carlow

The perfect location for family fun and a great Easter Treasure Hunt.  Each child receives a basket and a set of clues... they then have to find ten golden nuggets before returning to Treasure Hunt Headquarters to claim their special chocolate surprise. The wonderfully talented Marie O’Leary gives a demonstration on how to create an array of beautiful Easter and early spring floral arrangements and decorations for your home. €10 for attendance including morning coffee and be in with a chance to win Marie’s arrangement on the day with raffle tickets at €5. SPRING BEAUTIES WITH PATRICIA TYRELL AND MARY KEENAN

Patricia Tyrrell is a qualified horticulturist with two gold medals and Best in Category from Bloom. She believes strongly that good landscape design should be underpinned with good planting design. In this workshop on Spring beauties she outlines how designed landscapes should encourage nature and fit into and reflect the surrounding natural landscape. Mary Keenan of the magical Gash Gardens in Castletown, County Laois is a horticulturist, broadcaster and garden writer. Once a farm paddock grazed by cattle, Gash Gardens is now densely planted and an expertly maintained country garden, home to colourful herbaceous borders, fine specimen trees and a river walk along the banks of the Nore.
