The boat namely "Dawn Star" is a generously spacious, smooth running boat maximised for comfort, safety and reliability.  Dawn Star has many unique features which make the cruising of the boat more enjoyable & relaxing.

lock.gif (23975 bytes)The river Barrow is Ireland's second largest river.  It runs for 192km from source to sea and is navigable for hire cruisers from Athy to St. Mullens, some 68km. There are 23 locks, including the sea lock at St.Mullins.  The Barrow Line of the grand canal is 46km long and forms the second part of the navigation carrying 9 locks between Lowtown and the junction of the Barrow at Athy.   The river Barrow and the Barrow Line offer two distinct cursing experiences, each with it's own character and both guaranteed to enchant and delight you & your cruise companions.  Historic relics along the River Barrow and the surrounding villages add to the beauty of cruising one of the most beautiful waterways in Europe.
